Ingredients:
- 12 chicken wings (whole, tips removed, split at the joint)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1/2 cup hot sauce (like Frank's RedHot or your preferred brand)
- 1 tbsp white vinegar
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Optional: 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (for extra heat)
For Dipping Sauce:
- 1/2 cup ranch dressing or blue cheese dressing
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions:
Prep the Wings:
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to remove any moisture. This helps them crisp up during cooking.
- Season the wings with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Cook the Wings:
- Arrange the chicken wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a wire rack.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through. The wings should be golden and crispy.
Prepare the Sauce:
- While the wings are baking, make the Buffalo sauce by combining melted butter, hot sauce, white vinegar, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper (if using) in a bowl. Stir to combine.
Coat the Wings:
- Once the wings are cooked and crispy, remove them from the oven and transfer them to a large bowl.
- Pour the Buffalo sauce over the wings and toss to coat them evenly.
Serve:
- Serve the wings hot with a side of dipping sauce (ranch or blue cheese) and garnish with chopped parsley, if desired.
Enjoy your homemade Buffalo wings.
